A devilishly delicious night of decadence.

Blues And Burlesque - The Devil’s Own is a burlesque and live blues musical extravaganza. The wicked Ms Weeds and devilish Dr Blue are bringing you a night from hell to remember. There will be five blues songs with a devilish twist from the three piece band, Dr Blue on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Ben Beelzebub McHardy on drums and Ms Weeds on vocals and cello.

The show is a collaboration that merges two artforms of live Blues music and burlesque/draglesque performance. This will be a 50 minute show representing the best award winning performers from the blues, music and cabaret communities.

It brings the audience into a world of dark and temptation. It will be naughty and salacious and with a lot of deep Blues growls.

With a 3 piece band performing live enhancing the evening’s storyline of how the Blues is “the Devil’s own music” as told by the comedy team Daniel Smith and Anya Rzhevestkya. This story is then punctuated by the live burlesque performances of Ms Weeds, Booth the Clown, Lily Catastrophe and Rachel Rouge, as well as the lyrics and interactions of the musicians on stage.

Don’t miss this fusion of live music, cabaret and performance! 3 nights only at Fringe Bar 28 Allen Street, Te Aro, Feb 22- 24 at 9PM

'A unique brand of early Blues...a raw voice..Like Tom Waites' (Blues In Britain)

'Mesmerizing. Would do BB King or any other Blues legend proud' (Broadway Baby)
