Day Moon is headlining! Day Moon is headlining! You heard that right, Wellington Garden-Rock newcomers Day Moon are playing their first ever headliner show at the place it all began, Valhalla! The septuple will be bringing you everything from upbeat, catchy, bangers to psychedelic spoken word interludes to gentle balladry to distorted growling – and of course, who could forget their immaculate vibes sewn in between it all. Day Moon’s FIRST headliner? That’s history folks, and we would love you to be apart of it. To make the night even sweeter, we will be joined by opening act re:ruby, with more details below. Have you ever looked up at the sky during the day and thought “what’s that doing there?” Well, we thought that too! Day Moon is a 7-piece travelling caravan of unique individuals bringing a range of vibes all linked by their shared love of music and performing. Their songs capture the universal human experiences of the need for love and companionship to more niche topics such as thrifting for shoes. Either way, you can bet you’ll be singing along.
re:ruby is the solo recording project turned five-piece band of songwriter Ruby Hawthorne, interweaving their folk-tinged songs with alt rock elements and occasional bursts of noise.
