Dekaworwor are a well-loved African drumming group based in Christchurch. They perform rhythms and songs from West Africa which they learn from local and internationally renowned masters of this indigenous art. Community is at the heart of everything Dekaworwor does. The group consists of members from across the globe and draws from their combined experience, expertise and energy to get your feet moving! In this performance they will be collaborating with the Mundi dancers and together they will weave a spellbinding performance that will bring vibrancy and joy to a Saturday morning.

This event is part of Off Centre, an arts festival that shows off the best of Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre – eclectic, exuberant, accessible. With around 40 events, the place will be filled with music, comedy, theatre, and vibrant entertainment. One day, two nights, it's all happening on the 8-9 March 2024.
