Earth Day Hui

In honour of Earth Day 2024 we are hosting a hui to create a working group to drive Auckland away from waste and towards a zero-waste, circular economy filled future. The hope for this group is that it will connect like-minded people and facilitate an array of projects that will fill the gaps that currently hold Tāmaki Makaurau back from being zero-waste and predominately circular economy based, while also providing education and awareness.

It's a big dream, but we think we can achieve it with the right people on board and we would love for you to be involved. We need people with knowledge, skills, passion and drive.

This hui will be the starting point for many great things. We'll discuss what the community needs and the gaps that need to be filled before we can become zero-waste. We'll line up some projects for the future - workshops, seminars, collection days, and everything else we think is needed, penciling in some dates and assigning some actions. Hopefully we'll be able to create a funky inspirational name for our working group!
