Learn about the interconnected nature of bees and flowers in this intimate hands-on Bee Experience with Comvita beekeeper, Noelani Waters.

In this session, you will learn how bees live as superorganisms, make honey, and have evolved with flowers over millennia. Noe will talk through the basics of a beehive and open a colony to see their magic firsthand. Frames of bees will be passed around the participants to experience an up-close view of these special and critical pollinators. Questions are very welcome! Each participant will take home a pack of bee-friendly seeds and learn how they can play a part in helping bees to thrive in their communities.

This Bee Experience is open to ages 6 years and up. Space is limited to 10 people.

Please wear a long sleeve shirt, pants that cover your ankles, and covered shoes. Beekeeper hats, veils, and gloves will be provided.

This session does interface with live honey bees that may sting, please ensure you are not allergic to bees. Please exercise caution and respect while engaging with these amazing pollinators

Please note that this event will be cancelled or postponed in the event of bad weather & rain, registered participants will be notified of changes a day before the event is scheduled.
