Ecofest - Sewing Repair Cafe

We repair or alter your clothes to save them from landfill; help us value our resources by dropping in to get your clothes mended. You can express your appreciation for our team's mahi by making a donation after your (maximum two) items have been repaired.

Our volunteers can change zips, shorten your trousers, help your dress fit, and more! Please note: we do not provide any buttons, zips etc. Please bring your own.

The sewing repair cafe does not alter New clothes; it's aim is to repair your old clothes so you can continue wearing or using them instead of throwing them away or buying new clothes.

Items for repair are accepted until noon, to give us time to finish the last lot.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Friday 15 March - Sunday 14 April 2024. Inspiring climate action across Tāmaki Makaurau, it is hosted in collaboration by EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust and Waiheke Resources Trust, and proudly supported by Auckland Council.
