Join us for an incredible beginning to our 2024 Summer School programme!
There is so much inspiration for our creative work all around us, but how to begin? How often do you set yourself up to start making, ideas have been buzzing in your mind for weeks, you sit down ready to begin and … nothing. Your mind has gone blank.
This class is all about filling in that blank. Giving yourself a starting point to get creative. It is a fun experimental class where we know where we are starting - by taking a walk along a stream - but we don’t know where we will finish, because that is up to you.
With the guidance from your experienced art tutors Sarah Brock and Keri-Mei Zagrobelna and inspiration taken from our surroundings you will be able to unleash your creativity with paint, pens, paper and a broad range of other materials.
You will come away from this fun class with a series of creative ideas in your A5 sketch book, a set of colour/shape and texture studies, and some small completed works. Perhaps a painting, a poem or some wearable jewellery art pieces.
Using basic art materials that you bring with you (we will supply a short list) and a treasure trove of shared materials that we will supply, immerse yourself in a day of playing with colour, material and letting go. This class is more than a learning experience, it is a place to fill your cup, a balm to the soul and a space to meet and share with others.
The class will be held in the spacious Mazengarb Reserve Sports Complex Hall - an accessible venue with on-site parking.
