Join us at the warm and wonderful Yoga Shala studio for Kirtan.
At this transitional time of the year, it can be so easy for us to feel out of sync, disconnected, and down.
Through mantra and chanting we seek to recenter and reconnect with the divine for guidance through our challenges.
This session will feature soulful guitar, violin, tabla, and all of our voices together.
What is Kirtan?
Kirtan is a series of melodi repeated chants in the service of meditation.
The chants come from ancient Sanskrit and Gurmukhi texts from the Vedic spiritual tradition.
They are simple and easy to learn.
We will be sitting on the ground so feel free to bring any props, cushions or bolsters for your comfort.
These props are also available at the studio free of charge.
Stay afterwards for yogi tea, nibbles, and chats.
This session will be one hour.
Tickets are $20 cash at the door.
