Kyle Fury Band & The Surge

Formed five years ago, The Surge are a Whangārei based trio of experienced musicians. Drummer, John, hails from Britain and is a prog rock fan. Spider was an early convert to punk rock, and play bass for The Surge. Billy is on guitar and vocals and has an ear for a good guitar hook, whether from the early days of British glam or from modern Indi pop. All the influences combine in The Surge. Frontman of a popular 9 piece Canadian ska reggae band Los Furios, Kyle Fury toured throughout Canada, USA and Mexico extensively and played with well known artists such as English Beat, Bad Manners, Mad Caddies, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Katchafire and the Black Seeds. Kyle Fury now lives in New Zealand and hopes to capture a new audience with an all original set of catchy songs. 

Teaming up with local Whangārei musicians Maru Tana on Bass, Mark Churcher on drums, Mike Brandt on Keys and Chris Brockie on saxophone, the KFB will play a full set of originals guaranteed to get you on the dance floor.
