Liven up your living room or bedroom with your own drum lampshade - get that professional finish, even if you have no previous sewing experience.
Description
Come along and learn how to make your very own drum-shaped lampshade – a classic style very much on trend at the moment
Bring up to $40 cash to pay the tutor for the lampshade frame and other materials.
You will also need to bring 1 metre of a firm fabric of your choice (a patterned fabric with a light background is effective in reflecting the light), a pair of fabric scissors, measuring tape, tailors' chalk and a 30cm ruler.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
- Mark and cut out the shape of the lampshade onto the backing
- Sew or glue seams of the fabric
- Attach the fabric to the frame
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
