What is a hussiff? A portable sewing kit that you can make to suit your mending needs. Also a good project to practice your hand sewing techniques! Taking inspiration from the mid 18th century hussifs, you will create your own in this fantastic IWC workshop. Please bring scraps of your favourite fabrics which you will use to create your hussif.
Age restriction: 14+
Booking is essential as there are limited spots available! Parking is limited at the site, so we suggest that participants walk, cycle, catch a bus (there is a nearby bus stop), or carpool to the Recovery Park.
This workshop is brought to you by the Island Waste Collective and is part of the “Mend It” March series.
This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Saturday 18 March – Sunday 16 April 2023. EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust and Waiheke Resources Trust are teaming up to collectively showcase all that Tāmaki Makaurau has to offer in the sustainability space.
