Mental Health is a term we hear everywhere now and yet after “Are you okay?” it all goes silent. We know we need to improve our mental health understanding and the way we treat ourselves and other people having mental health challenges. (Free to NZ citizens/residents - all others pay fee of $99)
Description
In this engaging and informative course, you will unpack the subject of Mental Health, covering topics such as Mental Distress, Mental Disorders, Stress Reactions, and How to Support Someone. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on your own stress management, wellbeing and resilience.
- By the end of the day, you will have a solid understanding of:
- mental health and common mental health disorders,
- gained confidence to be able to have courageous conversations with people you are concerned about
recognise your own wellbeing and gain tools to manage stress
A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend.
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. Prerequisites
