The Christmas Carnival has headed south! The iconic New Year's Day Races are taking place at Pukekohe Park in 2024 for the first time ever.
Start the year as you mean to go on...with high quality racing and a great day out of course. This event is all about the roar of the crowd & the athletes doing battle before them. A 10-race card featuring a multitude of black-type races, this is a day not to be missed by racing fanatics.
Iconic to Auckland’s holiday calendar, the New Year's Day Races offer a winning trifecta of high-class thoroughbred racing, free family fun and all the good time feels and we've got a stellar hospitality option available for those who want to add a little something special to the first day of the year.
The New Year's Day Races are also the final stop in Pukekohe for The Grand Tour Racing Festival, so if you want to keep those New Year celebrations going, enjoying the good vibes of the first day of 2024 trackside, this one's for you. Keep an eye out for The Grand Tour Bar when you arrive oncourse, it's open to all.
