Only one percent of Wellington’s original lowland, semi-coastal temperate rainforest remains, so our native forest remnants at both Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush and in the Wellington Botanic Garden are of great heritage value to our city. Join the Friends of the Botanic Garden to explore one of our best forested areas.
Meet at the Cable Car entrance lookout. Cost: $5 (cash only, please).
This is part of the regular walks run by the Friends of the Wellington Botanic Garden, they run twice monthly throughout the year with a different topic every time.
