Iranui Garden invites you to have a wander through the grounds and take home a bouquet from the PYO flower patch! The garden is a no-dig permaculture site that specialises in the companion planting of flowers, vegetables, and fruit. The guided tour will take you through the 1 acre site and end in the newest addition - the pick-your-own patch.

After the tour, each visitor will finish the day by picking and arranging their own hand-tied bouquet. We love all flowers, but dahlias are a favourite; our PYO patch is full of them. Cosmos, amaranth, zinnia, marigold, aster, calendula, salvia, wildflowers, and hydrangea are also up for picking. Depending on availability, other speciality flowers/foliage around the grounds may be available.

While you enjoy the PYO patch, our little gardeners in training will have from-the-garden items such as additional bouquets, dried flowers, seeds, and homemade fertilisers for sale. Ice cold lemonade and an assortment of homemade morning tea treats will also be available for purchase.

What to Bring:

- Secateurs/Snips

- Sun protection

- Cash for extras (drinks, morning tea, etc.)

FAQS:

- Do you take Eftpos for additional purchases on the day?

We do not currently take Eftpos but can accept bank transfer. Otherwise, there is an ATM in town and cash is always welcome!

- What happens if I can't make my tour date?

Tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be shifted to another date, however you may transfer your ticket to a friend. Consider gifting your ticket or sending someone in your stead.

- What if it rains?

Tours and flower picking will happen rain or shine. Please dress appropriately.

- I just want to pick a bouquet. Do I have to take the tour?

The dates above are tour inclusive. To inquire about picking a bucket of stems or having a custom bouquet made for you, please contact us directly or keep an eye on social media for additional PYO dates. We're free to chat via email at iranuigarden@gmail.com.

- Are you child/pet friendly?

Children are welcome to attend with a paying adult but must be actively supervised. All picking must be done by/alongside an adult. Children 13+ must have a child's ticket to attend.

While we love animals, pets are not allowed in the PYO field.

- Are photos allowed?

Yes! Feel free to bring your camera along for the tour.

- Where are you located, and where do we park?

We are conveniently located just two minutes from the Pahiatua town centre. If you're coming from Hwy 2, take Tiraumea Rd (across from BP), and halfway up the hill, the garden is on the right just past the 100K sign. When you see the "Iranui" sign, you'll know you're in the right place.

A couple parking spots are available in our driveway, and we ask that these are reserved for those with mobility issues. If you'd like one of these spots, please arrive a few minutes early. Additional parking can be found on the roadside verge. We ask that you do not park in or block our neighbours' driveways.
