For the month of March Estuary Arts Centre welcomes the Auckland Plein Air painters who will be exhibiting in Gallery Three.
They will be hosting a Quick Draw Public event on Saturday 9th March from 12.00pm to 2.00pm with judging at 3pm. All painters, professionals, amateurs and the simply adventurous compete are invited to take part. These artists have only two hours to complete their works. During this short time, all registered Quick Draw participants will set up their supplies and paint or draw en plein air around the Estuary Arts Centre, Hibiscus Coast locality. This is one of the most thrilling experiences to be part of.
Together, artists and spectators are immersed in the creative process, to see the location and how the artists interpret them. After the paint out, a viewing is held outside Estuary Arts and the paintings are exhibited on the artists easels or tables. The paintings will be judged by a Judge and prizes awarded. To enter come along on the day with your art supplies ($10 per adult and $5 per child under 16 years). Money raised will go toward the Studio Three upgrade project.
