Print Your Own Story - Workshop Full

Full week design skills for print immersion workshop for youth (13 - 18).

Using the newly developed Te Kowhai Print Trust 'design suite', students will work on Ipads and Imacs to develop designs to be screen-printed in studio onto T.shirts. Working with two professional art tutors, and a cultural advisor students are lead through the design process, learning all aspects and working hands on from concept to finished product to create their original designs exploring a 'sense of identiy'. The week will culminate in a group exhibition, with students contributing to the set-up and opening of the work to be on public display. Students will learn skills in design software, planning, practical studio, business and marketing skills, alongside creatively exploring their personal stories, culture, sense of belonging and identity.
