Join us for a guided walk through the botanical gardens, followed by a picnic brunch and Scent Session workshop at the learning pavilion.
Meet at Begonia house and wander through the Botanical Gardens, stopping to observe, discuss and inhale the fresh scent of a selection of plants before stopping at the learning pavilion for a picnic brunch, prepared by our friends at the Oatery.
After brunch we will begin a Scent Session in the Learning Pavilion. Discover the unique scent and healing properties of over 30 pure, natural therapeutic grade essential oils. Learn about top, middle and base notes, and how to blend your chosen oils together to create your own unique, balanced and beautiful bespoke scent. Your aromatic concentrate will be blended in a base of organic golden jojoba oil and bottled in a 10ml roll on vessel to take home.
Jemma (your host) is a trained Herbalist, olfactory alchemist and co-founder of the Wellington Apothecary. Having worked with essential oils and other extracts from the plant world for over 20 years, she is an expert at creating beautiful, natural, functional scents and will work with you to create your dream aroma blend.
Herbal tea provided.
Please note that this workshop is not recommended during pregnancy due to the safety of some essential oils.
When - Sunday, March 10th, 10am.
Duration - 3 hours: Walk 30-60 Minutes, Brunch 30 Minutes, Scent Session 90 Minutes.
Where - Wellington Botanical Gardens, 101 Glenmore Street, Thornton, Wellington.
Cost - $140 per person, Includes Brunch.
All profit from this workshop will be donated to the Botanical Gardens to support the ongoing growth and development of the Fragrant Garden.

Cancellation Policy
If you would like to cancel your workshop ticket, please do so within 48 hours of your workshop date for a full refund of your ticket price. If you cancel within 48 hours of your workshop date your workshop ticket price will only be refunded if we can fill your place. Thanks for understanding.
