Join in the Seaweek festivities at the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education Centre's annual Sea MERC Day! Let us welcome you to our waterfront facility where you can expect an exciting afternoon of water activities and the opportunity to learn more about your local marine environment.
Participants of all ages and levels of experience are invited to join in. Opportunities for paddling and playing on a variety of watercraft will be offered, these options are dependent on sea state. Four 45 min water activity sessions will be led by MERC leaders and Surf Lifesaving Northern Region starting at the top of every hour from 12 to 3pm.
Insight into the watersports we'll have will be shared on our facebook event page closer to the event date. Gates open at 11:30, first activity session starts at 12 pm. Guided intertidal exploring sessions starting at 1:30 & 2 pm Last water activity session starts at 3 pm Bring your togs, towel, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and reusable drink bottle - we can't wait to see you there!
