Te Rā o Waitangi - Waitangi Day

Wellington City Council is proud to present a free, whānau-friendly event to commemorate the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) and Aotearoa’s national day.

On Tuesday 6 February 2024, head down to the Wellington Waterfront and enjoy a line-up of multi-cultural performances, stalls, and kai.

The celebrations will include a line-up of New Zealand performers, showcasing the talent we have here on our soil. Expect a wide range of tangata whenua community performances on the main stage, and in 2024 we are extending our programme to include a range of performers who are tangata tiriti.
