Join Aotearoa’s most award-winning and celebrated comedy duo, Chris Parker and Eli Matthewson for a very special live show of The Male Gayz. This fan favourite and chart-topping show has been hilariously poking at the personal lives of Chris and Eli, queer pop culture and NZ politics for six years and in that time received tons of accolades, 5 star reviews and even a much-loved TVNZ+ web series.

Performed during Auckland Pride, this is a not to be missed opportunity to see NZ’s very funniest gays live in the flesh.

Chris Parker is one of Aotearoa’s most well known and well-loved comedians. Exploding in popularity online during the lockdowns, Chris turned his years of acting, writing, improvising and stand-up comedy into sensational daily content that cracks up tens of thousands of Kiwis every day. A recipient of the prodigious Fred Award for stand up comedy, he even features in Te Papa in recognition of the cultural contribution his comedy has made to the country.

Eli Matthewson is everywhere - and for good reason. He’s a founding member of multi-awarding winning improv troupe Snort (as is Chris) and is also a Fred Award winner himself. He’s also a TV personality (Paddy Gower Has Issues, Celebrity Treasure Island, 7 Days), a broadcaster (recently co-host breakfast on The Edge) and an author.

The Male Gayz is part of PodFest at Q, which is part of the Summer at Q festival. Check out more about PodFest here: https://www.qtheatre.co.nz/shows/podfest-q
