What a double-bill!! This Way North - moody, tremolo-tinged heart-tuggers to pounding driving alt-psych rock through a sonic landscape of reverb-soaked guitars and rolling rhythms. Albi & The Wolves with their uplifting and relatable alternative indie-folk songs.

This Way North
Full of rapturous nostalgia, This Way North’s music takes you from moody, tremolo-tinged heart-tuggers to pounding driving alt-psych rock through a sonic landscape of reverb-soaked guitars and rolling rhythms. With odes to 90’s rock sitting on air-tight grooves and full, cinematic spaciousness, This Way North’s music is a portal to summer festivals, their love affair with the road, and an open invitation to turn up the volume and let loose. The duo has had a successful couple of years with full-time touring across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, supporting a huge number of well-known artists. This Way North are launching and touring a new album in 2024 throughout Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe & UK.

Albi & The Wolves
Albi & The Wolves set fire to stages and fill hearts with hope with their uplifting and relatable alternative indie-folk songs. Since 2014 Chris Dent, the proud albino frontman Albi, Pascal Roggen and Micheal Young have crafted a stage show that’s brimming with energy and moments to pause for reflection. Though the band is made up of typical acoustic trio instrumentation (Electric violin, guitar, double bass, a stomp, and their three vocals) the result of their collaboration stands out in their genre and defies what would traditionally be called "folk", more alleging with modern Americana. Slick harmonies, soaring violin, and sweeping dynamics help characterise the band's unique sound, a sound that won them the Best Folk Artist Award at the 2018 Aoteroa Music Awards. They are an act to see live so if an opportunity arises, do not miss it.
