My paintings are inspired by my encounter with the tumultuous nature of the New Zealand landscape. I enjoy the way colour and form play off each other, creating natural compositional rhythms. Organic forms and shapes appear everywhere I look, and they evoke a reaction that connects me to nature. Colour profoundly effects on all aspects of my life, specifically, emotions and moods – I strive to reflect this in my paintings.
