Waihi Art and Street Festival

The inaugural Waihi Lions Art and Street Festival was held in 2021. It was really well attended and received great feedback from the community and visitors, so planning began for 2022 – but that was another casualty of the pandemic.
Now in its 3rd year, the Waihi Art and Street Festival provides a free family festival in Waihi - the town with a heart of gold.
The Memorial Hall will be packed with a great selection of stalls selling quality craft and artisan goods, an art exhibition and workshops plus musical entertainment. Outside are more stalls and festival fun with music acts bringing different cultures to the streets of Waihi plus heaps of entertainment for everybody plus children's games and entertainment.
As part of the festival, the Waihi Art Gallery and Museum exhibit childrens art from the local schools and kindergartens.
