Join Toi Māori Curator Kohai Grace and the Whiriwhiria collective in the Community Gallery for weaving demonstrations of this highly valued, ancient art form handed down from their tūpuna (ancestors).

Based in various locations around Aotearoa, this artist group have remained connected through their weaving practices and friendships; remembering also, their origins from Te Wānanga o Raukawa, Ōtaki that has continued to nurture and foster weaving mentor relationships since the 1990s.
