We’re creating Wellington’s next ten-year plan and budget – our 2024-34 Long-term Plan. It outlines how we intend to invest for the next 10 years.
We want Pōneke to be a creative capital where people and nature thrive but must balance the pace of our investment with what we can afford. As a community, we need to make some tough decisions about what to prioritise.
This webinar will cover some of the Plan’s proposed changes and key issues, including:
• How much we spend on fixing the pipes.
• Whether we introduce Council wheelie bins for rubbish and organics to reduce landfill waste
• Whether we sell our airport shares to help manage insurance and investment risk
While these are the main topics that are being engaged on there will also be the opportunity to ask questions on other proposals in the Long Term Plan.
We’ll also be providing information on how you can provide feedback and give you the opportunity to ask the panel questions.
