A first-of-its-kind exhibition - 20 Hue (Gourd) scattered across Aotearoa unite in creative tribute to Rangatira, Phil Belcher, honouring celestial and ancestral knowledge.
Sixteen creatives from across Aotearoa have adorned hue that were grown by and under the guidance of Phil Belcher, will be displayed alongside major works by Phil and Purewa Hodge, marking their second public exhibition. Hue, essential to Māori and Pacific technology, were brought to Aotearoa by our tūpuna and are cherished as ancient taonga grown under the Maramataka. Alongside whakairo, growing hue was Phil's passion and expertise, with his legacy resonating through these kākano across our whenua.
