Start this Winter by deeply nurturing your self
- Welcome to a full day of yoga!

Here we explore and embrace nourishing practises to support and increase our well-being. Come to relax body and mind, balance the nervous system and tune into your self. Allow yourself to slow down the pace, make time for rest and relaxation and turn the attention inwards. Here you have the opportunity to retreat in to your own body, spend precious time with your self through profound yogic practises - as well as connect with other lovely people!

The morning starts with gentle yet invigorating yoga asanas (poses). We wake up through mindful movement and focus on feeling into body and breath to increase our awareness - and to arrive in the present moment. We take this exploration further when we later in the day come in to our restorative yoga poses, all of which are either seated or lying down. We hold these poses for a bit longer, allowing the body space to open up and release tightness and tension. These longer holds also support us to tune into our selves, as we learn to drop down from the busy mind and instead be with the experience of body and breath. Here we have so much to discover as we learn to let go and surrender to the present moment.

In addition to our different meditative asanas (yoga poses) we will also explore breathing techniques and other meditations. All of which can lead you to get deeper in touch with your true nature; arriving to that space within where you feel at ease and full of life...

Many of us are overstimulated and even overwhelmed by the constant stream of information-input and other stresses from the outer world. We are living life in a fast pace that we simply can't keep up with - and neither are we meant to. That's why the body reacts by telling us, in various ways, that it feels stressed and overloaded. This is an opportunity for you to listen and take action to look after your self, your health and your wellbeing.

Winter is an excellent time to slow down, reset and rejuvenate. The better we become at letting go and relax, the more energy and resources will be available to us later on. Think about how a fruit tree goes dormant in Winter... drawing the energy back into its roots, to rest. And when Spring arrives it is ready to expand its energy and bloom yet again! Just like everything else in nature, we as humans are meant to live in accordance to the seasons and follow the natural cycles of life. It is beneficial for us to shed our leaves (let go of what is no longer needed), retreat our energy back to our roots (priorities), take time to rest, reflect and restore so that we too are ready with new fresh energy when Spring comes around yet again...

This Yoga Day Retreat is open to anyone and everyone; no previous yoga experience is required. It can in fact serve as a great introduction to yoga - or work as a catalyst to take you deeper into your already existing practise.

It is my wish that you'll walk out from this Retreat Day with a smile on your face, feeling relaxed, recharged and hopefully even inspired - with a closer connection to your self and your body.

Our wonderful venue is on Kina Beach Road. It is a tranquil space on private property, where we'll stay warm and cosy thanks to a lovely fire. Once you've booked your spot I'll send you the exact address, along with other details for the day.

Early bird rate until Sunday the 19th of May $139
Full rate from Monday the 20th of May $155

Included in the fee is the full day program, vegan lunch and tea.
Please note that the last day to register is Thursday the 6th of June.
