State Twenty20. Shorter Games. Bigger Hits.

Sunday 13 January 2008

State Twenty20 is an exciting new version of the men's game, which gives each team 20 overs to combat their opponent. The shorter format sees teams speedily accumulating runs and is noted for big hitting and dynamic fielding.

Kicking off the season are the Wellington Firebirds vs Northern Knights at Seddon park in Hamilton on Thursday. On Friday the Central Stags take on the Canterbury Wizards in Christchurch, with the Auckland Aces playing the Otago Volts at home in Dunedin.

The games start at 5.00 or 5.30pm, so it's a great evening's entertainment for the whole family with tickets only $10 for adults and kids under 5 free.
