Now in her final ride of performances, as Priscilla prepares to bid a fond farewell to Auckland, it's official, Priscilla has again broken box-office records selling a staggering 104,000 tickets and grossing $10 million dollars, certifying Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical the most successful musical staged in New Zealand during a six week period.
Priscilla has positively ‘wowed’ New Zealand audiences and critics alike and when the curtain comes down this Sunday night with the disco classic, "Finally", the cast and crew will have delivered 49 dazzling performances, gone through 3 kilos of glitter, 65 lipsticks and 41,000 ping pong balls (mostly souvenired by the audience). Not to mention, the 35,000 Strawberry Daiquiris (an average of 714 per show) consumed by Priscilla devotees!
The Priscilla bus and company will travel to Sydney for a return season at the Lyric Theatre – Star City, commencing October 7, 2008 before making her London West End debut in March 2009.
