Kanye West Australian Tour
Kanye West has added five Australian dates to his Yeezus tour.

There is no word yet on a New Zealand show, but Livenation says on their website "It hasn't been ruled out, but at present we have nothing to announce."

West last played in New Zealand in 2008, after pulling out of the Auckland leg of the 2012 Big Day Out

Tickets for the Australian shows go on general sale on Monday 24th February.

PRESS RELEASE:

Kanye West - The Yeezus Tour continues with May Australian Run

“Brilliant…the current Yeezus tour is more than just a concert. It's an extravaganza of music and theater… a combination which makes [Kanye] the most fascinating musical figure of our time and makes this tour an unmissable spectacle.” – New York Post

“Watching Kanye West perform…I felt roughly the same exhilaration as the sixteen-year-old I was standing next to…is there anyone like Kanye now? Has there ever been? No. ‘Yeezus’ felt like the album of the year months ago; now the year just feels like it belongs to West. Or, more accurately, the moment keeps being his.” – The New Yorker

“There are very few modern artists with the kind of vision, ambition, and means to execute it as Kanye West right now…a distinct statement of his combined artistic ambition, penchant for excess, and desire to simply outdo every other entertainer out right now." – The Seattle Times

“Awe-inspiring…West's energy level was extraordinary from the very beginning…truly electrifying…The stage as imagined and executed by West was truly something to behold.” – Rolling Stone

One of the most acclaimed tours of 2013 –  Kanye West’s sold-out The Yeezus Tour – is coming to Australia in May. The limited run, presented by Live Nation, will launch on May 2 at Perth Arena and conclude on May 10 in Sydney at Qantas Credit Union Arena.

Last in Australia to top the bill on the 2012 Big Day Out, The Yeezus tour will be Kanye’s first headline shows here since 2008’s epic Glow in the Dark tour.

With more than 21 million albums sold worldwide, Kanye is the most potent force in music today. The 21-time Grammy Award-winner released Yeezus in June last year to acclamation from critics and fans alike, achieving his first ever ARIA chart number 1, and following up his Platinum releases 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and 2011’s stunning Jay-Z collaboration, Watch The Throne.

Special guest for these shows will be Pusha T, making his Australian debut.

Signed to West’s label, GOOD Music, he has appeared on GOOD Music's compilation album Cruel Summer five times, including the singles ‘Mercy’ (with Kanye West, Big Sean and 2 Chainz) and ‘New God Flow’ (with West). While working on the compilation, he was also working on his debut studio album, My Name Is My Name. The album was released to critical acclaim on October 8, 2013, by GOOD Music and Def Jam.
