Wellington Folk Festival Celebrates 50 Years
Wellington Folk Festival are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and have put together a stellar lineup of local and international performers to mark the occasion.

Some of the acts due to perform at the Labour Weekend festival are Martin and Eliza Carthy (UK), The Windy City Strugglers (WGTN), Bohemian Nights, Chinook (AUS) and The Federal String Band (Taranaki). To mark the 50th anniversary of the festival, there will be a special concert on the second day featuring BearCat, Flix and Joseph Balfe. 10DD and Into the East will also be performing at the main concert on Sunday night. As usual, there will be a Ceildh on Saturday night with The Jimmies.

With music and activities happening across six different areas, there's plenty to do and lots to keep the kids entertained at this family-friendly event. The festival also features workshops on playing the ukulele, a guitar picking masterclass, a songwriters' forum and publicity photos.

Tickets are on sale now.
