The Black Seeds, Katchafire, Sons of Zion Announce Summer Tour
Summer wouldn't be complete without going to a Black Seeds or Katchafire concert. This year, the two bands have teamed up with Sons of Zion to embark on a seven-date summer tour, taking in the nation's sunny circuit.

Kicking things off in Coroglen the day after Christmas, the tour will also be stopping off in Mt MaunganuiNelsonLower HuttTaupo, onto New Plymouth for New Years, then Opononi and Mangawhai, finishing up on January 3rd.

Wellington's The Black Seeds have built up a solid fan base, thanks to their infectious groove that blends soul, afro funk and dub. The band have released five albums and embarked on extensive tours across the US and Europe, and of course, New Zealand. They have spent 2014 working on a forthcoming album, due for release next year.

Reggae group Katchafire recently toured New Zealand over the winter and are ready to bring their music to the warmer climes over the Christmas/New Year period. Since forming 11 years ago, Katchafire has grown to include two generations of family within the band, touring the States several times, as well as Europe, New Caledonia and Brazil.

Sons of Zion (the relatively new band of the three, after forming in 2006) are no strangers to the New Zealand summer tour circuit and are the third reggae band on the lineup. Expect swaying grooves and bigger bass lines!

Tickets are on sale now from Event Ticketing.
