Tegan and Sara NZ Show Cancelled

Tegan and Sara New Zealand show is cancelled due to Tegan's ill health. The announcement was filled with such regret knowing that a lot of Kiwi fans looked forward to this event.

Here is Tegan's statement regarding her current health condition:

"It is with the heaviest heart that I type this. I became very ill on the final days of our European tour in February, and even while taking antibiotics and steroids, I still lost my voice completely. After a second round of antibiotics and steroids upon returning home last week, I still have not recovered my voice or received a clean bill of health. At the recommendation of my GP, I have decided to postpone our Australian/New Zealand tour to continue my recovery and ensure I don't do longer-term damage to my singing voice and health."

Tegan added that it was a point of pride that they've always followed through with their commitments and in 17 years of touring, she could count on one hand the number of shows they've had to cancel. She sends their deep apologies to their fans, their team in New Zealand as well as their promoters.

Tegan and Sara promised to make it up to their fans especially to those who have made their travel plans just to see their supposed show.

Had the show not canned, it would've kicked off in Auckland this Saturday, March 11. According to Live Nation, all tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.
