The Pinehaven Art & Craft Exhibition is the longest running event of its kind in the Wellington region. Started in 1970 by a group of parents as a fund raiser for Pinehaven School, this event has grown in size and status ever since and is now well recognised around the Wellington art scene as a notable event. The exhibition is in September each year and features an impressive range of artists in almost every media imaginable—painting, sculpture, pottery, glass, fabric and wood to name a few. The committee works hard to ensure that each year’s exhibition features new artists as well as many of the old favourites.

Entrance for Opening night can be purchased at the door and includes a beverage, finger food and live music. Local residents know that attending Friday night opening is essential if you want a chance to purchase the very best of the work as well as having a wonderful time catching up with friends and neighbours. Throughout the rest of the weekend a cafe operates that supplies sweet treats and coffee. Whether you are interested in finding a special piece of art for your home, looking for smaller gifts for family and friends or simply enjoy viewing the incredible range of work on display, Pinehaven Art and Craft Exhibition is not to be missed.
