Attitude Towards Encountering Nature by Sena Park

Attitude towards encountering nature provides insight into artist Sena Park’s time in Mongolia based artist residency in 2018. After returning home from Mongolia, where she created artwork for the 5th Land Art Mongolia exhibition, she realised that her urban upbringing had not prepared her for making work in the vast nomadic landscape.

This installation is a narrative-work about encountering nature as a contemporary observer, ‘wanting to look only from a window and reluctant to immerse oneself in the true hardships of the environment’.
