Auckland District Rounds - 2019 NZCT Chamber Music Contest

The NZCT Chamber Music Contest is an iconic secondary school musical event held annually throughout the country in June. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015, and we’re looking forward to another 50 years of inspiring youth music-making and to celebrate the fantastic musicians and composers that have launched their careers through the Contest.

This is the perfect opportunity for young musicians, regardless of standard or experience, to compose and to perform chamber music and strive towards excellence.

Over 80 groups from high schools across Auckland applied in 2019. Come along and support the future of New Zealand music!

Preliminary sessions:
Wednesday 5 June: 12.30pm, 3.15pm & 5.00pm
Thursday 6 June: 9.30am, 12.15pm, 2.30pm & 4.30pm
Friday 7 June: 10.00am, 12.00pm, 2.30pm & 5.00pm
Saturday 8 June: 9.30am
Tickets: Single Session $5.00 / All Session Pass $10.00 / Students (with ID) & Children FREE

Semi-finals & Final:
Saturday 9 June: 9.30am (Semi-final 1), 12.30pm (Semi-final 2), 7.00pm (Final)
Tickets: General $15.00 / Children (18 years and under) FREE / Contestants FREE
