Auckland Heritage Festival: Walk Papatoetoe Railway Precinct

Join members of the Papatoetoe Historical Society on a walk through the railway heritage precinct.
The arrival of the railway to Papatoetoe in 1875 made a huge impact on the lives of Papatoetoe residents and people living in the surrounding areas.

A journey by train brings back many memories.
This heritage walk will start at the site of the relocated Old Papatoetoe Railway Station at 1 St George Street, Papatoetoe and go past the 5 former railway houses, remnants of former railway buildings, over the railway footbridge to the current railway station and then back to the Old Papatoetoe Railway Station which is now a café.

There will be an opportunity to see inside the station building, view railway memorabilia, reminiscence at the end of the walk.
