Baring Head Lighthouse 4WD Trip

Please note the meeting point is East Harbour Regional Park, Wainuiomata Coast Road, (not Burdans Gate) Wainuiomata - approximately 16km south of Moores Valley by the Baring Head Bridge.

$5 per person. Maximum 35 people per trip.

Join Greater Wellington and Cross Country Vehicle Club for a short drive to the historic Lighthouse Reserve, nestled on the plains of Baring Head. You’ll see spectacular views across Cook Strait to the South Island and Wellington coast. Not only that, you’ll learn more about the Lighthouse houses restoration project onsite and get the chance to visit NIWA scientists at their internationally renowned research station.
