After the success of last year, it's time to get your brightest pink and neon outfit at the ready for this run/walk with a difference – a 5km Neon Night Run around Hobsonville’s Bomb Point in celebration of Pink Shirt Day. Don't hold back with your outfits – fancy dress and funky dress welcome – just think pink and/or neon!

THE RUN – Collect some nice neon bits from us while Jason from Running Events bringing the tunes and the chat to get us in the mood at the start. Then, everyone will head off on a 5km loop through Bomb Point, cheered on by our awesome marshals. With all the neon plus some 'very classy' mood lighting, it'll be quite the sight! Runners are strongly advised to bring a head torch, as it's dark in stretches. Walkers will be fine with phones or a small torch.

POST-RUN FUN – We're start/finish outside Little Creatures, so the fun continues when the run is finished. There'll also be Food Trucks plus additional seating out front – follow us on social media for full food truck details nearer the day. All this plus Siamese Doll and Fabric Café Bistro so close by – it's really worth booking ahead and making a night of it, before we even mention goodies and prizes!

GOODIES & PRIZES – Local businesses have really stepped up with some top prizes! There'll be lots of spots prizes, prizes for best costume/outfit, prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners. Not to mention the nice neon bits we'll give out at the start. Full details of prizes will be announced on social media and our official website in the coming days and weeks.

MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATION OF NEW ZEALAND – We've worked hard to keep this event free and fun for all – all that we ask of you is that you make an 'entry' donation of whatever you can manage to the MHF using the Donations & Fundraising website. This will help them continue their valuable work. Even better, you could enter as a work team or group of mates and fund-raise in a very funky fashion!
