Children’s Workshop

Nga Toi Maori Workshop for Children (Pre-primary).

Tutor: Arohanoa Mathews

Age: Pre-primary Level (3-6 years old, Parent Supervision Compulsory).

Booking is required, please book your child/children in only not parents, we assume all children will come with an adult supervisor. (Note: There is usually a waiting list of children who would like to attend, if you have registered but cannot attend on the day, please email mail@incubator.co.nz asap) As well as an established Tauranga-based Contemporary Maori Artist, Arohanoa is the owner of her own Streetwear of Clothing and Accessories Range – Arohanoa Artistry Ltd.

In this workshop she will be facilitating children to create Tactile Art using natural resources and textiles for them to take away a final product at the end of the session. They will learn hand-eye coordination.

*Arohanoa will be facilitating a series of free ‘Nga Toi Maori’ Workshops for Children under the age of 18 years old over the remaining year of 2019, thanks to the Creative Communities Scheme.
