Christchurch Motorway Half Matrathon

Christchurch Motorway Half Marathon.

The Christchurch Motorway Half Marathon is being held on Sunday 3rd of March 2019, starting and finishing at Nga Puna Wai Sports Hub on the athletics track.

This is an amazing course and with no vehicles, allows runners and walkers to concentrate on your running. You will be able to see vehicles racing past on the motorway as you enjoy the relaxing fast run and starting on the athletics track at Nga Puna Wai.

Christchurch Motorway Half Marathon will cater for all runners; whether you’re a beginner or an elite runner, this fast-flat course will give you the opportunity to do one of the fastest half’s or 10km you’ve ever done.

There will be a walking section in both the 10km & Half Marathon. With the Kidz Dash being a 1.6km run on the track. This will give the children a flavour of the experience of running in a big event and on the athletic track. The Kidz dash will be held on the Nga Puna Wai track..

The Motorway Half Marathon will be Race 3 of the Finesse Finance - Half Marathon Series. With this, your best 2 Half Marathon’s will be counted out of the 3 Half Marathon's, including South Island Half Marathon - Lake Hood and Canterbury Half Marathon - Pegasus Town.

Start times:
All Runners will start at 9:00am with race brief at 8:55am.
All Walkers and Hybrid will start at 9:05am with race brief at 9:01am.
The Kidz Dash will start at 9:10am with race brief at 9:06am
