Conservation Week Community Planting Day

Rush on down to plant 2000 rushes along the Waiuku coastal area.

In associations with the work done by Waiuku Mudlarks, we are planting coastal rushes to give the birds back some cover and to soften wave action on the banks of the estuary.The planting day is split into two areas but meet at the wharf area for a pre-start briefing.

This planting will be done on mudflats so gumboots are recommended. Small children will need to be very well supervised as it is close to the water and muddy.
