We have been here before, last year and planted out the area and cleaned up the reserve. This time we're back and we're going to add another 490 plants and trees and pick up more Rubbish.
Teaming up with Forward Whangarei this is one of 21 Tree Team events in Northland this year. These events are part of the Matariki Tu Rākau initiative which supports communities to come together to plant trees and create living memorials 100 years after the First World War, as a part of the One Billion Tree Programme. For more information on the Tree Team project visit www.treeteam.co.nz.
There will be lunch after all the hard work, provided by the amazing Palate Wholesome Collective, so please indicate if you are coming along and we will make sure we provide enough food for everyone!
