F.A.W.C! Smoked Seafood Celebration: CANCELLED

Seafood fans, drop everything you’re doing, LOCK IN THE CALENDAR because you can’t go past this! Spitfire Catering (based in Gisborne) are bringing a 5 hour Smoked Seafood Festival to Summer F.A.W.C! 2019.

Specialising in all foods smoked over charcoal paired with simple, flavoursome rustic menus, the talented crew are set to serve up a buffet that will leave your taste buds singing.

Get ready for local Hawke's Bay wine, beers and produce-inspired cocktails with a vast array of fresh New Zealand seafood smoked over various New Zealand wood chips. The seafood will be paired with Hawke's Bay seasonal produce-based salads and desserts. Here’s a little sneak peek into all the mouth-watering goodness on offer:

Arrive to platters of seafood bruschetta, chowder, raw fish, live seafood shucking, smokers packed with whole smoked hapuka, kingfish, crayfish, mussels and more… For the main, there will be more than 10 types of seafood whole, raw, smoked, marinated and cooked together with seasonal salads, fresh breads and Spitfire condiments.

Top it all off with handmade desserts inspired by local seasonal fresh fruits and produce prepared by Hawke's Bay Caterer’s and Café Mitzi & Twinn partnered with live music from Ariana Henare.

A fantastic range of locally produced wines including Craggy Range, Lime Rock, Tironui Estate, Paritua and Taiao Estate as well as Spade Oak there with their winemaker Steve Voyce from Spade pouring. Beers on offer include Giant and Brave local beers and there's Spitfire Cocktails on offer to perfect partnership to the palette for this great night, the Boysenberry Margarita will be a speciality.
