Welcome to the electro-klezmer balkan disco!

International Tourist are both new and old, departing and arriving, relentless in their live energy and the accumulation of frequent flyer points. Alexandra and Joshua of Melbourne’s world music dance band Hello Tut Tut have snuck off again, this time teaming up with Max Mannequin, producer, DJ and ringleader of Ungus Ungus Ungus, to form a tasty new trio that will actually melt down the Butter Factory. They bring the party with live clarinet and violin playing sounds from Europe’s east with an electro beat.

Firing the night up will be Blunderbuss Jones with his mixed bag of beats and all kinds of tricks. Ghetto funk breaks, drum ‘n’ bass, hip-hop, electro, and a lashings of trumpet will start fires. Max Mannequin, another trickster with a whole lot of attitude, will be spreading it thick with a slice of the finest in psychedelic swing, glitching dance music, and steamy beats guaranteed to keep things pumping above and beyond.

Prepare for some serious shape-shifting and dance-floor delirium; a hoe-down melt-down at the Butter Factory in Whangarei.
