We are hosting a dynamic exhibition this February titled LIP(S) at the historic Silo6 in the Wynyard Quarter featuring artists: Carol Brown, Phil Dadson, Gill Gatfield, Peata Larkin, Courtney Sina Meredith and Sharonagh Montrose.
We have performances from dancers (Carol Brown and Maryam Bagheri Nesami with dance students from the University of Auckland) and musicians who work with Phil Dadson and the From Scratch group.
The opening is on 1st February 2019 and it will run until 1st March 2019.
LIP(S) will offer a multi-sensory and layered experience for a wide audience presenting different perspectives on contemporary art, femininity and the body and exploring the intersections between distinct artistic practices.
The theme of LIP(S) is inclusive of the diverse cultures in present Aotearoa, featuring artists from a diverse cultural background (Maori, Samoan, Mangian, Irish, Iranian and Pakeha) and the multitudinous ways of being a New Zealander.
