Celebrate October with the Big Band "Oktoberfest'!!
Along with the Band's usual range of music for dancing, the band will add a flavour of the German Octoberfest with a few drinking songs and polkas! Put a feather in your hat, dig out your lederhosen or dirndl and see if you can win the prize for best-dressed guest!
If you are looking for music that you will know and enjoy then the Mainland Big Band has it. A little bit of rock, a little bit of pop, some lovely ballads and a touch of jazz from the 40's through to the new millennium. You can sit and watch some fancy footwork and sharp moves on the dance floor or get up and become part of the action - and if you just excelled at the 'Kiwi shuffle' - that's OK! If the music makes you want to move, the dance floor is big enough for everyone whatever your style!
The band starts at 7.30pm and entry is just $10 per person. The Band has a special licence for the night so anyone may attend. You don't have to be a club member.
