Enjoy an afternoon of laid—back jazz, te reo and dynamic vocals with two powerhouse wāhine, sharing their exceptional vocal talents.

A veteran of eight solo albums, Whirimako Black is a champion of te reo Māori. She has produced many songs and albums in her native tongue, as well as a number of bi lingual recordings. In recent years, Black has moved effortlessly into the sultry stylings of the great jazz standards to which she has added her uniquely Māori interpretation.

Kaaterama Pou was born into a world of music through haka and whakapono. Her talents as a singer, performer and brass player have seen her exceptional rise as a star on the Māori music scene. Matariki on the Move: Waiata tours Māori arts around Tāmaki Makaurau.

Free entry on a first-come, first-seated basis.

Matariki on the Move is brought to you by Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau, supported by Vector Lights (principal partner) and NZ Herald (media partner).
