Ngāti is the story of a Māori community set in and around the fictional town of Kapua in 1948.
Written and directed by Barry Barclay, the film was the first feature to be written and directed by Māori and it screened during Critics Week at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival.
This event is wheelchair accessible.
Matariki 2019 celebrates new beginnings and kai (food) through kōrero (conversation), ngā mahi toi (art and creative making), waiata (song), kapa haka (dance), and whakangahau (entertainment).
